After leaving the car park on the A85, the
River Lochy was crossed and then the Eas Daimh stream was followed through the forest
above. Once on open hillside the ascent to the belach between the
first two peaks of the day was easy and the broad ridge taken
to the summit of Beinn a Chleibh, The weather then closed in with thick mist,
limiting the
scope for photographs. After retracing footsteps to the belach, another
broad ridge lead to the summit of Ben Laoight. The south easterly
descent after Ben Laoight was considerable before having to navigate through
the crags and outcrops that lead to the summit of Ben Oss. Again a long
and steep descent followed the summit and then the the final climb of the day
lead to the summit of Beinn Dubhchraig. The descent from this peak to the A82 was
long and complicated due forestry activities and fast flowing streams
but the effort was rewarded with some great fish and chips in Tyndrum.
